Introduction

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for removing and replacing the battery. There are two tools required and no safety precautions needed.

What you need

1. Step 1 Battery
  Turn off camera by firmly pressing the power button that is located on the top of the camera.

  Position camera with the bottom facing up.

3. Step 3
  With your finger, slide the battery cover in the direction of the open arrow.

  Lift the battery cover up gently.

  Gently push the battery down until a click is heard. Battery should release and be lifted out of slot.

1. Step 6 Buttons
  Use a J00 screwdriver to remove the five exterior screws.

  Use a plastic opening tool to pry off the back casing.

  Completely remove the back casing from the device.
