Introduction

Having trouble due to a faulty battery, try replacing the battery. This guide will help show you the steps to replacing your Keychron K3 V2's battery. Do not follow the steps in this guide without the keycap remover tool as it may damage the keys if completed without it.

What you need

1. Step 1 Keycap
  Using a keycap remover, fingers, or a prying tool, gently pry the keycaps off of the keyboard

2. Step 2
  Continue to pry the keys in the same manner as the previous step until all keys are removed.

1. Step 3 Battery
  Use a screwdriver to remove all of the screws on the framing.

  Use an opening pick to pry open the framing.

4. Step 5
  Remove the framing, being careful not to tear the wire that links both sides of the keyboard.

  Disconnect the wire connecting the framing and backplate.

  Remove the film from the top of the battery.

  Using a slow sawing motion, use an opening pick underneath the battery to lift it.
  
  Avoid metal tools, as they can cause damage to the battery.
  
  (Optional) You can use a hairdryer to heat up the adhesive, making it easier to take the battery off.
