What you need

  1. Keyboard, Keyboard: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Before proceeding, power down your Laptop and remove the power cable.

    • Put your computer in front of you and open up the display.

    • When you've opened up the display. Remove this panel with a spudger as shown in this picture. Do it like that on the other side too until the panel clicks open.

    • When you've done everything correct, you should see a view like this.

    • After the previous step, try to put the spudger in between the keyboard and the plastic frame. Then the pins holding it in should click.

    • When pushing the keyboard try to be careful cause underneath, the keyboard is connected to the motherboard with a ribbon cable.

    • After the previous step there are 4 more plastic pins, for these you can just slide the keyboard out of these.

    • Be careful when unplugging the ribbon cable from the motherboard.

    • If you need to replace they keyboard and nothing else now is the time to do so.

    • With a spudger remove the ribbon cable from the motherboard.
