Jensen JTA-230 Turntable Platter Replacement

Note that this replacement works for the following popular cheap record player sold on Amazon, Shein, and other similar websites.

Unless your record player is completely inoperable, I do not suggest removing the platter, as you could end up doing more harm than good.

What you need

  1. Jensen JTA-230 Turntable Platter Replacement, Turntable Platter: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Remove Cover from record player.

  2. Jensen JTA-230 Turntable Platter Replacement: step 2, image 1 of 1

    • Take off metal piece holding the platter in place using pliers or another similar tool.

    • Gently but firmly pull the turntable platter off the axle.

    • Take replacement turntable platter affix it firmly and gently to the axle.

    • Replace rubber plugs

There's an important step missing here in that there is a "C" clip on the center pin that you need to remove. Also, this does not include how to replace the belt onto the motor, which is vital in restoring how a record player functions. Can you please update with this information?
