JBL Tune 770NC Ear Pad Replacement

Introduction

One issue faced by some users with the JBL Tune 770NC's is problems with the ear pads, specifically noise cancelling issues and problems with the ear pads falling off. A fix for these issues could be to replace the ear pad on the side or sides that are causing issues. For this guide you will need an opening tool of some sort, a metal spudger works best as a last resort. If available please use a Halberd spudger, or a jimmy. This replacement is relatively easy, and should not take very much time.

What you need

  1. JBL Tune 770NC Ear Pad Replacement, Ear Pads: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Insert your prying tool in the seam between the ear pads and the chassis.

    • Gently pry around the perimeter of the ear pad, with care not to warp the plastic.

    • Once you have made the gap wide enough, use your fingers to gently remove the ear pad.
