Introduction

This guide will show you how to remove and replace the end caps on your JBL Grip speaker.

The end caps do more than protect the speaker body. They also contain the power, volume up, and volume down buttons. If an end cap is cracked, loose, missing, or the buttons no longer respond correctly, replacing the cap may restore proper function.

What you need

Slide the Jimmy along the seam to separate the case.
Caution: Do not bend or puncture membrane.

Unlatch the membrane from the rest of body.

Slide the opening tool to unlatch the end cap. Repeat the same process for the other end cap.
Do not use force; this could damage the plastic or the pins connected to the circuit board.
