Introduction
This is a replacement guide for the button circuit board. It controls the volume controls and the play button. This piece is relatively small and can be the cause of some issues regarding playing audio.
What you need

Get a tool to pry the front grill off, ideally using one of the iFixit tools. This is required as the front grill is glued onto the device.

First, you must unscrew the 5 Phillip head screws (6mm) around the edge of the device.

The battery connects into the motherboard, and it is inside the black box shaped part that has a cable connecting into the motherboard. You must disconnect the cable connecting the battery to the motherboard.

Now you can see the Button Circuit Board at the top of the front housing held together by 2, Phillip head screws (6mm) on the bottom right and top left. unscrew them, and you will be able to remove the Button Circuit Board.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order. Take your e-waste to an R2 or e-Stewards certified recycler.
