Introduction

The Dell Inspiron 13 7359 2-in-1 is an excellent computer with a 13.3-inch (33.78 cm) – HD (1366×768), IPS touchscreen. Consider replacing the screen if:

The screen has dead pixels.
The screen is flickering.
The is screen is cracked.
You simply want to upgrade it.

It's a little intimidating to replace an LCD touchscreen, but if you have the replacement screen, the right tools, and you follow these instructions carefully, you're gonna have your computer looking good very soon.

There's little danger once you power off and disconnect the computer. Just be careful with the screen during replacement, because it is fragile to detach and install. Make sure not to cut yourself on anything either. The screen isn't particularly sharp, but if it's cracked, it may have edges. If the screen is cracked or shattered, follow this guide before you begin as a safety precaution.

What you need

Step 1 Bottom Case

Turn off device before starting.
Turn the laptop upside down with the logo facing the surface of the table.

Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the ten 8mm screws from the back case of the laptop.

Use a spudger to separate the back cover from the laptop.
Start from one corner and work your way around the edge of the cover.
Be careful not to bend or crack the back cover.

All hardware components should be exposed.

Using a spudger or opening pick, carefully pry in between the screen and the screen backing.
After opening the LCD Screen, slowly and carefully open the laptop so the front of the screen touches the keyboard.
