    • Remove the lid and place it upside-down on a flat surface.

    • Pinch the rubber gasket on the float valve and pull up.

    • Pull the rubber gasket off of the metal rod.

    • The valve will fall out of its hole onto the table. It can now be cleaned or replaced.

    • You may find it helpful to push up on the float valve from the other side of the lid while you remove the gasket.

I received the replacement valve and pot. Now my insignia instapot won't hold pressure. It keeps seeping steam/spritz out of the float valve. I am ready to toss it in the trash. It worked bafore I replaced that stem. I should've kept it.

It happened to me as well. Right after I replaced it, it doesn’t hold the pressure. I am very annoyed and I wish I have kept the old parts!!!!

OK after much digging, I found the old valve and now it is pressurizing.
