Introduction
Removing the optical drive is extremely easy and will only a take a minute.
What you need

Remove the single screw holding the optical drive on the underside of the laptop
Ask FixBot

-
Push the small slider to unlock position, a tab will automatically pop out.

Pull the tab to dislodge the optical drive, then carefully pull the drive out.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
