    1. Huawei Mate 9 Lite batterie replacement, Opening the smartphone: step 1, image 1 of 1
      • Heat the back of the device (e.g. with a hot-water bottle).

      • Then use a suction cup to lift the back a bit and insert a pick into the gap. Guide the pick once around the smartphone and loosen the glue, then remove the back cover.

      • Note the cable for the fingerprint sensor.

      • The back is made of a quite flexible plastic. Thus, you cannot easily destroy the back

      • There is a sticker with the serial number on the back. This has to be removed so that the suction cup holds well.

      • The battery is very firmly glued to the case.

      • Be careful when removing it!

      • I put the phone on a hot water bottle with the display facing down. This is not the best solution, but it works.

      • To reassemble the smartphone, you first need to remove the adhesive residue that is present around the frame.

      • Then follow the last steps backwards.

      • Do not bend the metal bracket for the left cable back until you have already screwed the cable.
