There are many purpose for repainting your garage floor from just wanting to add another color to the floor to wanting to give your garage a cleaner, more well put together look. No matter the reason this guide will help you through the step by step process of repainting your garage floor.

Use a paint scraper to remove the old paint from the area where you want to apply the new paint.
It's okay if there is still some old paint left on the surface.
Paint cracks usually indicate corrosion and require scraping.

Remove debris and dust with a broom.

Examine the quality of your paint.
If it is too thick, and you're using water-based paint, mix in a little bit of water.
If it is too thick, and you're using an oil-based paint, add paint thinner.

Wet the surface of the roller with water.

Pour the paint in a container, dip your roller in, and start rolling.
You can also use a paint brush.

New paint has been applied and you can see the direct contrast.
When the paint has dried, reapply a second coat of paint.

Collect all the tools and prepare them for cleaning.
For water-based paint, rinse the tools in water. For oil-based paint, rinse the tools in paint thinner.
When rinsing, don't dip your tools in your paint thinner container directly. Instead, pour the paint thinner into another container that can be used for rinsing the tools.
