This guide will show you how to remove vinyl printing from fabric using just acetone and latex gloves. This guide can be used for any article of clothing, not just hats.
CAUTION: Acetone can be harmful to skin. Use latex gloves when performing this repair. Nitrile gloves will not work as acetone can break down nitrile.
What you need

Pour the 100% acetone over the fabric. Cover the area where the vinyl is printed.

Lightly pull at the fabric where the vinyl is printed. The edges of the vinyl should start to rise.
