Introduction
Go to step 1 ↓If the touch screen still does not respond as expected after following the guide for a soft reset of the display, the operator should provide an alternate source of ventilation to the patient before performing the hard reset steps in this guide. Further information regarding the reset of the touch screen can be found on the Puritan Bennett 980 support page in the video titled “Unresponsive or Blank GUI Reset”.

Power the device off and back on using the power switch on the front of the device.

If the patient is going to be transferred back to the ventilator, first press the “Same Patient” button on the display.
