Squeaky doors are a constant nuisance around most households. Use this guide to take apart a door hinge, oil it, and reassemble it. This easy repair should help quiet any squeaky door.
What you need

Insert the end of the flathead screwdriver into the crease between the top of the pin and the hinge.

Take the hammer and hit the handle end of the screwdriver until the pin can be pulled out. This may take a while depending on the door.

Place the pin in a bowl of mineral oil (or other household lubricant) and let it rest.

Take the pin from the bowl and reinsert it into the door hinge, using a hammer if necessary.

Open and close the door a few times. This will help the oil to seep into the cracks of the hinge.
