Introduction
So, you’ve made the decision of welcoming a new member of the family. Owning a puppy is one of the greatest privilages in the world. However, raising a pup may not be the easiest job. Being in a position where almost anything is at risk of breaking, trying to fix something might seem like a good idea for that bank account. Start by removing all the 5.0 mm screws from the leash with the Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Using a plastic opening tool, begin to separate the top and bottom of the leash.

Carefully remove the brake mechanism. Inside should be a small spring.

Remove and replace the spring with a new one.

When the spring is successfully placed, initiate the retraction to it's original position.

Make sure the top and the bottom are aligned properly.

Slowly press the top and the bottom of the leash until it returns to its initial position.
