Introduction
Use this guide to fix your favorite makeup compact. After a compact is dropped on the floor or has gotten old and cracked, this guide can help restore it. With a hot iron and kitchen silverware, you can press your powder back into place in no time.
Before using this guide make sure you're working on a clear surface, free of clutter and safe for the placement of a hot iron. Keep your hands steady while you're using the knife to remove the metal pan from the compact in step 4. Make sure the iron is unplugged and completely cooled before storage.

Plug In the iron and turn the heat to the highest setting.

Pour the powder into the metal pan and begin to press the powder down with the spoon.

Turn the heat off on the iron.

Use the heat from the iron to secure the powder in the pan.

Press down for 15 seconds at a time.

Repeat as needed.

Let cool completely.

Place metal pan back into the compact.

Now the compact is ready for use.
