Introduction
Go to step 1 ↓Because there was no capacity left in my Go-Pack and Denon did not deliver any replacement I took the challenge to see if there was rescue at hand.
Warning: Working on lithium-ion batteries can cause fire or explosion!
I accept no liability for incorrect disassembly, modification, or assembly of the aforementioned battery pack.

-
Detach the rubber at the bottom.
-
Remove the 6 Phillips-head screws.
-
The Go-Pack can now be opened.
-
-
-
The battery pack consists of four 18650 cells and a BMS (Battery Management System), which is attached to the top of the pack.
-
The unit itself is attached to the base with double-sided tape. It can be detached using some force and, if necessary, the help of a flat-head screwdriver or another prying tool.
-
Cut open the film on the underside—the side with the smooth surface, away from the wiring. The casing can be reused by securing it with adhesive tape; do this in the middle, as shown in the image.
-
-
-
Make notes or take photos of the connecting wires to the BMS and the positive and negative terminals of the batteries.
-
It is recommended to replace all four batteries. Buy batteries that come with solder tabs already welded on. Soldering directly onto the smooth surfaces of the positive or negative terminals is difficult with a standard soldering iron and heats the battery's internal electrodes to the point where there is a risk of explosion.
-
Carefully disconnect the top cover connector and the battery connector from the PCB connector, while holding the PCB steady. The connectors are located on a narrow circuit board that is not secured in place and appears fragile.
-
When removing the old batteries, ensure the leads from the BMS are detached as gently as possible; prying with needle-nose pliers can easily tear the leads away from the old batteries.
-
-
-
Assemble the battery pack from the individual cells. All cells are connected in series (plus-minus-plus-minus), creating a 14.8-volt pack (4 x 3.7 V). It may be easier to swap two cells at a time rather than all four at once; this helps the pack retain its shape and makes the attached BMS easier to handle.
-
Please note: soldering presents the greatest danger when working with lithium-ion batteries.
-
Connect the battery leads, using the old pack as a guide. You may want to test-fit the pack in the base to ensure everything fits correctly after soldering.
-
Keep the soldering time as short as possible to avoid heating the battery terminals.
-
Reposition the cut-open wrap around the batteries and solder the connection leads from the BMS back onto the pack correctly. Wrap the pack with tape to create a compact unit.
-
-
-
-
Check en double check before assembling
-
Connect the connectors and continue assembly in the reverse order described above.
-
-
Mounting all together in done with reverse steps from above
If all has gone well you can enjoy many hours of music without being connected to the power grid.
