Introduction
This is a short guide to disassemble a Habbi Habbi children's reading wand and replace the battery.
The vendor uses very old lithium ion batteries, fortunately the replacements are easy to find online. The vendor will tell you to go buy a new wand for $70 if your battery starts dying.
Please be aware, your battery may be swollen which is a fire hazard. Treat as such.
Overall disassembly is not very difficult, desoldering of the battery (or splicing) is required. I would recommend the technician to have desoldering and soldering skills to repair loose connections that are discovered, such as the speaker wire.

There are 5 screws to remove, depending on manufacturing date there may be a sticker over the top screw.

Dissembled view, the speaker and battery wires are very delicate and glued using silicone. You may need to repair the connection if it is damaged.

Simply desolder this battery or cut and splice in the replacement.

You will need to melt the silicone on the circuit board to access the pads/through holes. I used my soldering iron to melt the silicone and scrape it away, then desoldered using tape.

That's it.

Reassemble taking care to position battery correctly and gently nudge wires into the wand.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
