HUAWEI HONOR 5X Fingerprint Scanner Replacement

Turn off your cell phone before disassembling.

Remove the two 1.17mm Torx T3 screws from the bottom of the phone.

Use the Sim card ejection tool to remove both the sim card trays.

To prepare the iOpener insert it in the microwave for 30 seconds and apply it on the side edges of the phone so that the glue underneath will soften.

Pry off the back with a plastic opening tool.

Remove the five 1.5mm Phillips #000 screws from the motherboard.

Use a plastic opening tool to pry up and disconnect the display cable from the motherboard.

Use tweezers to disconnect the white coax cable.

Use tweezers to disconnect the power and volume cable.

Remove the motherboard.

Pull the fingerprint scanner out of its housing.

This is what the mother board should look like when the fingerprint scanner is pulled out.

To fix the fingerprint scanner simply add in a new one and attach the metal component to its coordinating place.
