HTC Vive Focus Rear Head Strap Replacement

Introduction

Follow this guide to replace the rear head strap on a HTC Vive Focus virtual reality headset.

What you need

  1. HTC Vive Focus Rear Head Strap Replacement, Unscrew the head strap mounts: step 1, image 1 of 2 HTC Vive Focus Rear Head Strap Replacement, Unscrew the head strap mounts: step 1, image 2 of 2

    • Use a T6 Torx screwdriver to remove the four 4.6 mm screws securing the rear head strap, two on each side.

    • Remove the plastic cover from the rear head strap mount.

    • Lift the rear head strap off of the two pegs securing it to the mount.

    • Repeat for the remaining side of the rear head strap.

    • During reassembly, be careful not to install the rear head strap upside-down. The adjustment knob on the back of the head strap should be on top.

    • Remove the rear head strap.
