What you need

    • Slide off the white back panel.

    • This is the time to remove the SIM card, so remove it now.

    • Remove the 4 silver T5 Torx screws from the motherboard protector.

    • Some screws may be stuck in. If so, use a pair of tweezers to carefully remove them from their holes.

    • Carefully slide off the motherboard protector.

    • This may take some force if this is the first time opening the phone.

    • Take care not to apply too much downward force, because you may accidentally damage the sensitive components on the motherboard.

    • Remove the 2 black T5 Torx screws from the silver frame.

    • Make sure to not accidentally slip the screwdriver, because you may break sensitive components on the motherboard.

    • Gently push on the motherboard until the display starts to come out of its frame.

    • Once it is at about a 30-degree angle, grab the display and pull it downwards to remove it from the frame.

    • Remember, do this carefully. We don't want to end up with a dead motherboard.

    • Use a fingernail or an opening pick to lift the battery out of its slot.

    • Insert the opening pick on the right side at the top for best results.

    • Once it is at about a 30-degree angle, pull up on the battery to disconnect it.
