Introduction

If your speaker sounds distorted or muffled, or completely does not work, a broken loudspeaker might be the problem. A new one can be installed using this guide.

What you need

1. Step 1 Disassembling HTC ONE V Bottom Assembly
  Power off your device.
  
  Remove the bottom cover by sliding it off.

2. Step 2
  Remove the SIM card.
  
  Remove the four screws securing the bottom casing.
  
  Two 3.0 mm Phillips #0 screws in the top left and right corners.
  
  Two 2.0 mm Phillips #0 screws in the bottom left and right corners.

4. Step 3
  Remove the 2.0 mm Phillips #0 screws on either side of the phone.

5. Step 4
  Use a plastic opening tool to pry open the bottom casing.
  
  Remove the bottom casing by pulling it towards you.

1. Step 5 Loudspeaker
  Using a plastic opening tool, peel off the speaker cover.

  Use the spudger to push the speaker out of its casing.
