HP Tango X Power Adapter Replacement

Introduction

Go to step 1 ↓

The printer stopped responding to power-on attempts and was no longer emitting any light. We suspected a power supply issue. It turned out that the power adapter was only providing the 32 V output. The 12 V output was missing. The power adapter was simply replaced.

      • Behind each of the round stickers is a Torx screw.

      • Use a screwdriver to release the 8 clips. These are evenly distributed around the device. To do this, pry off the light gray cover bit by bit.

      • The power supply is held loosely in the housing and is connected by a 3-pin connector.

      • When unplugging the connector, pull directly on the connector, not on the cables.

      • The power supply can be tested using a multimeter. There should be 12 V or 32 V between the center connector pin and the outer pins. Naturally, the power supply must be connected to a wall outlet with the power cable for this to work.

      • A replacement power supply can be ordered from several suppliers online for under €20.
