HP ProBook 450 G6 faces charging/USB port failure; it fails to charge when plugged in. USB ports fail to recognize devices. Even after battery replacement, Probook is struggling to maintain charge.

What you need

Remove the three Phillips M2.0x4.0 screws that are securing the battery.

Remove the 2 Phillips M2.0x4.0 screws securing the thermal bracket to the notebook.

Lift and remove the thermal bracket out of the notebook.

Lift up the black latch on the ZIF connector securing the cable to the USB board.

Disconnect and remove the cable from the ZIF connector.

Remove the Phillips M2.5x4.0 screw that secures the board to the notebook.

Lift the top of the board up and remove the board out of the notebook.

To reassemble your device, follow the above steps in reverse order.
Take your e-waste to an R2 or e-Stewards certified recycler.
