Is your laptop not reading discs or unable to play CDs? If so, the optical disc drive may be faulty and needs to be replaced. Follow the instructions in this guide to remove and replace the optical disc drive in the HP Pavilion dv4-4141us laptop.

Lift up the back panel using a spudger, and remove it from the device.

Using the Phillips #1 screwdriver unscrew the panel from the computer.

Lift the panel up and remove it from the laptop.

Using the Phillips #0 screwdriver, remove the single screw securing the disc drive to the device.

Remove the disk drive by pulling out so that it can be replaced with a new one.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
