Introduction
Random Access Memory, or RAM for short, is computer memory that is used by an application or program when it is running on a computer. If you have a RAM card with a small size of memory installed in your HP Pavilion 14-bk061st, applications may run slowly and it will be difficult to have many applications open at the same time. Tasks such as gaming or 3D modeling will be next to impossible without the computer severely slowing down.
This device comes with 8 GB of RAM with additional space for another RAM card if you choose to upgrade.
When you are working with or around any electrical components it is recommended that you take care to ground yourself so that you do not electrically shock any components and ruin them. You can ground yourself using an anti-static wrist strap.

Remove the three 5.7 JIS #1 screws from the bottom of the laptop.

Remove the two 6.7mm JIS #1 screws from underneath the feet of the laptop close to the exhaust vent.

Use the hook end of the Halberd spudger to pull back the clamps holding the card in place.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order. Make sure that that the card is fully inserted otherwise your computer may not work and the card may be damaged. If the card is not seated properly it may come out of its slot and hit other components inside the laptop when it is moved around.
