Go to step 1 ↓This guide demonstrates the process of removing and replacing the battery of the HP G62-234DX laptop. If the battery has come to the end of its life, it's no longer holding a charging or not charging at all, it's probably time to replace it.
Before replacing your battery, check the Troubleshooting page for other tips.
It's important to power off your laptop before starting a repair and disconnect from the charger to avoid damaging your device.

While pushing the lock button to the unlock position, slide the battery out and away from the laptop.
