Introduction
Is the battery in your HP 250 G7 overheating, depleting fast, or overall needs to be changed? This guide will show you how to replace the battery in your HP 250 G7 Laptop.
Check the troubleshooting pages first to confirm that your laptop needs a new battery.
Before you begin:
- Power off the laptop
- Disconnect anything plugged into the laptop
WARNING: Take precautions in case of swollen battery.

What you need

Unplug the charger and all peripheries. Shut down the laptop before beginning disassembly.

Flip the laptop so its underside is facing up.

Use a hair dryer to lightly heat the rubber feet.

Use a spudger to lift and remove the rubber feet.

Insert an opening pick or opening tool into the seam between the lower case and palm rest assembly.

Slide the opening pick around the entire perimeter, while prying every couple of centimeters to release the retaining clips.

Remove the lower case.

To reassemble your device, follow the above steps in reverse order.
For optimal performance, after completing this guide, calibrate your newly installed battery.
Take your e-waste to an R2 or e-Stewards certified recycler.
