Begin by opening the laptop to expose the keyboard.

Place a small opening tool or plastic spudger under the corner of the key. Gently pry the key up and away from the computer.

Use your fingers to completely pull the key away from the board.
Once you have done this, you can use a brush to sweep away any debris that may have been underneath the keys or rinse the keys themselves to remove dirt.
