This guide shows you how to replace the colored buttons on the right-hand side of your Guilkit Elves 2 Pro controller. Make sure to power off the controller before beginning.

The procedure is difficult and requires a full disassembly of the controller to reach the buttons. The tool requirements are minimal, and the process is expected to take at most half an hour.

1. Step 1 Joystick Thumb Caps
  Use your fingers or a pair of tweezers to grip and pop off the thumb caps from the front of the controller.
  
  The red syncing indicator must be off.

1. Step 2 Battery
  Flip the controller on its back.
  
  Remove the six 11 mm screws from the back cover of the controller using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.
  
  Use a plastic pick if the back cover refuses to pry open.

  Detach the two connectors from the vibrators and the connector from the battery using a pair of tweezers.
  
  Refrain pulling the connector by the cable.

  Detach the ribbon cable using tweezers.
  
  Pull by the ribbon cable and avoid pulling by the head.
