Introduction
Go to step 1 ↓Keep your Goodman Split Air Conditioning unit in good working order with a fast and easy filter replacement. A clean air filter is important for maintaining optimal home air quality, removing dust particles, and reducing home energy costs.
Goodman recommends replacing the filter every 90 days. This guide will show you how to perform this necessary maintenance routine.
The replacement requires a Goodman-compatible filter. No tools are required. The estimated time involved is 5 minutes.
What you need

Remove (pull) the old filter out.

Note the direction of the airflow arrow on the side of filter. This should point in the direction of the airflow from the unit.

Insert (slide) the new filter in.

Confirm filter dimensions match old filter.

Confirm airflow arrow on filter is pointing in the same direction as old filter.

Ask FixBot
Follow local guidelines for proper disposal of the old filter.
Replace filter every three months or as needed.
