What you need

Remove the single 3/16" screw with the Phillips #0 Screwdriver that secures the Optical Drive.

Tool used on this step:Heavy-Duty Spudger$4.99
-
Slightly wiggle the Optical Drive from the laptop using the Heavy Duty Spudger.

Using your hands, gently slide the Optical Drive out of the slot.

Set the Optical Drive in a safe designated area.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
