What you need

    • Remove the two 1.7 mm screws holding the case in using a T6 Torx screwdriver.

    • Use opening picks and the opening tool to pry the two pieces of the case apart.

    • Be careful when prying and try not to break anything.

    • Carefully pinch the power cable, and slowly remove it from the motherboard slot.

    • Carefully lift the lock on the motherboard for the ribbon cable. Unslot the ribbon after the lock is undone.

    • Remove the case.

    • On the battery side of the dash cam, use a T5 Torx screwdriver to remove the two 1.4 mm screws from the battery bracket.

    • Remove the battery bracket from the dash cam case.

    • Lay down the battery holder on a clean, flat surface.

    • The bottom of the battery is glued to the holder.

    • Use isopropyl alcohol between the bracket and battery to soften the glue. Heat can be applied to the glued side of the battery as well.
