Introduction
There are two thumbsticks on the GameSir G4 Pro. The thumbsticks are essential to gameplay on any game that could be played on the controller. They should smoothly swivel in any direction in a 360° motion. Faulty thumbsticks may stick or not move at all. This guide will help you remove and replace thumbsticks that may potentially be affecting use of the controller.
To replace the thumbsticks, you will need to open the controller and access internal parts such as the battery and the motherboard. We advise that you wear an anti-static wrist strap when handling the battery to prevent electrical shocks. If the battery is swollen or hot, take precaution and dispose of it properly as the battery is highly flammable.

Use a Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove the four 9.5 mm screws on the rear case.

Use a Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove the 9.5 mm screws on the top of each handle.

Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the 9.5 mm screws on the bottom of each handle.

Use tweezers or your fingernails to walk the white battery connector out of its motherboard socket.

Carefully pull out the motherboard with your hands from the faceplate.
