Introduction
This guide will give step by step instructions on how to replace the light bulb in an oven, specifically for the GE TrueTemp, however these steps can be used for various other models. This repair only requires a new light bulb and a dry cloth or gloves to protect the bulb from coming into contact with anything that could damage it, including natural oils on the hand. This repair should be fairly quick to complete, as it should take no more than 3-5 minutes. Note that other oven models may have slight variations in the location of the light bulb.

Open the oven door and locate the oven light placement (located on the back wall, in upper left corner for this specific model.)

View the light bulb without the glass case and ensure there is nothing else securing it to the oven.

Check to make sure there is no debris around the bulb and that the light bulb is ready to be removed.

Using a dry cloth or gloves, unscrew the light bulb by turning it in a counter clockwise motion.

Secure the glass case to the oven with the metal strap by sliding it back over case until it fits tightly.
