Introduction

The rear access cover provides access to the compressor, condenser, condenser fans, and solenoid water valve.

What you need

1. Step 1 Unplug your refrigerator
  Unplug your refrigerator before you begin your repair.
  
  If you are testing or repairing the following items, you may also need to shut off and disconnect the water supply:
  
  Condenser fan motor
  
  Compressor motor and thermal overload device
  
  Water supply valve assembly

1. Step 2 Unfasten the rear access cover
  Use a 1/4" nut driver to remove the screws securing the rear access cover.

2. Step 3 Remove the rear access cover
  Lift the rear access cover up and slightly outward
  
  Remove the access cover.
