Introduction
The Flymo (Husqvarna) Easycut 600XT electric hedge trimmer did not operate even though wiring, fuses, switches etc appeared satisfactory.
Examination of the two carbon bushes on the motor showed their length was worn down to 5mm and 2mm respectively . New brushes are 11mm long. (Cross section 8,5x5mm). New pair of brushes cost about £5 on ebay. These brushes were nominally the correct size and were sold to fit this model, though the metal contact did need filing down to fit.
Photos were taken during actual repair to aid re-assembly, unfortunately not as a guide to do the repair in this case. Hopefully they may be of some use.

Flip it onto its the side and undo all the screws to remove the cover. Note some of the screws are different length.

Shows 'click superstore ltd' images of new brushes on ebay, which are a close fit. Part was labelled E109, but not sure whether this refers to size, type of carbon compound or something else. They are supposed to be for this trimmer, but I had to file down the copper connector a bit. (not a big problem).
