Introduction

The USB port is nestled deep into the device and takes some work before it can be removed. But rest assured that with careful attention to instructions it can be done. If your USB port is not connecting or it breaks then follow these steps in order to replace it and fix your device. Happy fixing!

What you need

Step 1 Battery

With the Phillips screwdriver 000, unscrew the two small screws securing the battery to the outer case and set safely aside.
With the plastic opening tool, pry the battery out of device and set aside. Now the battery is fully removed.

Using Phillips screwdriver 000, unscrew the 4 screws from the outer casing. Now the small white microphone should disconnect and is free to be set aside.
With Phillips screwdriver 000, unscrew the 3 screws which secure the aluminum USB bracket.
Using tweezers, remove the USB port from the device. Your device is now a skeleton and is ready for replacement. To do so, follow these steps backwards.
