What you need

    • Remove the two 10 mm bolts to the side of the taillight.

    • Using a pry tool or something flat, carefully get in-between the light and the car and pry the light off.

    • The light still has cable connections to the car body, so be sure not to rip these during removal.

    • Remove the burnt out bulb by pulling it out from the panel.

    • Clip the panel back onto the light and put it back into the frame of the car.

    • Replace the two bolts with a 10 mm socket.

    • Open the hatch door and locate the two screws under the hatch lip. Then, use the 10mm socket and unscrew both top and bottom screws.

    • Remove the screws by hand. Then, remove plastic casing from the body.

    • Remove the casing carefully. There is a wire harness that needs to be disconnected. See red line under the wire harness.

    • Carefully insert a flat head screw driver into the lock lip while simultaneously pulling the harness out of its socket.
