Introduction
Use this guide to replace the charging core for your Fairphone Fairbuds.
The charging core includes the USB-C port, the mainboard, and the contacts for the earbuds and the charging core battery to charge. It doesn't include the charging core battery.
You should replace your charging core if your earbuds aren't charging properly, and you've ruled out any issues with the earbuds themselves or with the charging core battery.

What you need

Flip your charging case upside down.

Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the 4.5 mm‑long screw securing the outer shell.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
Take your e-waste to an R2 or e-Stewards certified recycler.
