Introduction
The front remote sensor on the Epson PowerLite 77c (V11H254220) is a crucial component if you often use the remote to control the projector. Replacing the remote sensor will ensure the projector can continue to be controlled from a distance using the remote, rather than manually. This component may need to be replaced if the batteries in the remote are new and installed in the correct orientation, but the projector isn't responding to the remote's input. If possible, test your remote with another compatible projector to rule out remote failure before proceeding.

Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the seven 5.0 mm screws on the base panel.

Pick up the projector with both hands, sandwiching the top and bottom of the projector together, and place it right-side-up, with the ports facing you.

Lift the top panel up.

Flip the locking bar of the ZIF connector vertically, then delicately remove the ribbon cable.

Grip the cable connector as close as possible to the plug, then pull it straight up until it releases from the motherboard.

Remove the top panel.

Grip the front remote sensor's white plug and gently pull directly upwards until the plug releases.
