Introduction
In the event that the Edifier W820NB Plus will not charge (with a functional battery) a faulty USB-C port could be the cause. To replace the port the daughterboard will have to be replaced as well. The daughterboard is a secondary part that connects to the motherboard and provides additional functionality for the buttons as well as charging. Be sure to try a different charger and outlet first to confirm the problem is with the headphones. The daughterboard is located beneath the right driver.
This guide requires soldering. If you're unfamiliar with soldering, review the How to Solder and Desolder Connections guide and take appropriate precautions before beginning.
