Model: Dyson V11
If your Dyson V11 Motorbar cleaner head isn't picking up dirt effectively or the brush bar no longer spins properly, it may need to be replaced. The brush bar is the rotating roller inside the cleaner head that loosens dirt and debris from carpets and hard floors so the vacuum can collect it.
Use this guide to replace the brush bar in a Dyson V11 Motorbar cleaner head.
Before you begin, turn off the vacuum and disconnect it from the charger.

Place the Dyson V11 on a flat, stable surface and press the power button to turn it off.

Press the red quick-release button, and pull the cleaner head straight back, detaching from the wand until it disconnects completely.

Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the slot and rotate the end cap one-quarter turn counterclockwise until it unlocks.

Pull the brush bar straight out of the cleaner head. If hair or debris is wrapped around the brush bar, remove it before installing the replacement.

Wipe the interior with a clean, dry cloth to remove any remaining dirt before installing the new brush bar.

Place the flathead screw driver into the end cap by turning it one-quarter turn clockwise until it locks securely into place.

Reattach the cleaner head and turn on the Dyson V11. The brush bar replacement is now complete.
