This guide will walk you through the steps to disassemble the PlayStation 4's DualShock 4, model CHU-ZCT2U. This might be necessary to replace anything from the internal rechargeable battery to the joysticks and anything in between.

Use a plastic spudger to open the case. Try not to scratch the plastic.

Be careful opening the case because there is a ribbon cable holding the 3 halves together.

The ribbon cable slots through the rectangular hole in the plastic beneath.
