Introduction

This guide will show you how to replace a defective collet. By following a few simple steps, your collet can be replaced in approximately 5 minutes. No experience is required and only one tool is needed.

What you need

Step 1 Collet

Dremel 8220 Collet Replacement, Collet: step 1, image 1 of 1

Press and hold down on the gear lock button to lock the shaft.

With the lock held down, begin unscrewing the collar wrench.

Remove the collet nut, and poke out the collet.
If the collet is jammed in the collet nut, more force will need to be applied.
