What you need
-
-
-
Remove 4 Philips?/JIS? cross-head screws
-
Carefully unsnap the 6 to 10 (i did not count them) edge snaps around the rim of the back cover. See photo for example locations along top edge.
-
Keep track of the front panel eject button and spring as you remove the back cover. They are loose and can fall out. The button shape is indexed, so it will only fit back in one rotational orientation.
-
-
-
-
Access to the rear (foil, solder joint side) of the circuit board is complete, if this is all that is needed.
-
Note that the board is loose inside the front plastic frame, held in only by friction and the control knob.
-
-
-
Pull control (volume/settings) knob straight off (perpendicular to axis of rotation)
-
Open USB cover and push on USB port—if necessary—to ease PCB out of front faceplate plastic
-
-
Disassembly is complete. To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
