Disassembling Panasonic GU87 Main-LCD

What you need

    1. Disassembling Panasonic GU87 Main-LCD, LCD Cover removal: step 1, image 1 of 1
      • Remove the four rubber screw covers from encircled locations.

      • Using a #0 tri wing screwdriver, remove the screws previously hidden below the rubber covers.

      • If you have difficulties finding this screwdriver, it is commonly sold as a Nintendo Gameboy/Wii screwdriver.

      • Pry the case open using iPhone tool (as shown), fingernails, small flathead screwdriver, etc.

      • Be mindful of location and magnitude of applied force, so as not to damage the case.

      • Unlock the minor LCD connector by applying bilateral pressure with tweezers, as shown.

      • Use fingernails to pry off minor LCD mount, as shown.

      • Remove the minor LCD

      • Unlock the LCD connectors shown in red boxes on the picture .

      • Use tweezers as necessary.

      • Place finger nails on the connector tab as shown.

      • Lift the connector tab up.
