Remove the screws that secure the base cover to the computer.

Disconnect the battery cable from its connector on the system board.

Release the tabs that secure the battery in the battery bay.

Lift the hard drive assembly in an upward direction to release it from its compartment on the computer. Remove the hard drive from the computer.

Remove the screws that secure the hard drive to the hard drive assembly.

Lift and remove the hard drive from the hard drive assembly.
