Introduction

This guide will instruct you on how to remove the Wi-Fi card from the Dell Vostro 1700 laptop. The Wi-Fi card controls all of the wireless internet functionality of the laptop.

What you need

1. Step 1 Wi-Fi Card
  Remove the two Phillips #1 screws from the Wi-Fi card cover on the bottom of the laptop.

  Lift up on the cover and remove it.

  Use the spudger to lift the small wires connecting to the Wi-Fi card.

  Use your thumbs to push the retaining clips upward to release the card.
